Depends on where you live. I really like Farm Bureau, but I don’t know if it is in all the states. I know it’s in Indiana and Colorado.
Recently I checked for ins. in NJ. Geico was the most expensive. Patriot, not sure of name, was second highest. Allstate and State Farm were the lowest. But someone told me that Allstate doesnt pay out very well. Not sure on that one. We got hit by someone once that had allstate and we got paid. No problem. Maybe they give the problem to the customer not the victim. Don’t really know. I didn’t get very far with Progressive but then my son and his brother in law have Progressive. So I guess it all depends on the person who is getting insured. I didn’t think of it at the time but Met Life looked good. I didn’t call them though. Good luck. I’ve had Ohio Casualty for over 25 years. They are really good. No hassles too. They pay and all. They seem a little high though. Not really sure.
It depends on what state you are in. There are a lot of local companies that are fly by night companies. I have had really good relations with State Farm, Farmers and Progressive.
Most of the large insurance companies are about the same. It comes down to who has the best price for your age group in your area. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

You can only really get the best auto insurance quote by shopping around. So much depends on variables specific to you: where you live, your driving record, your age, your credit rating etc.
